Imposter Land

A pass-and-play party word game where everyone knows the secret except the imposters. Add players, pick a category, hold to reveal each private role, then talk your way through suspicion, bluffing, and one very loud vote.

Imposter

Blend in, ask questions, and figure out the secret word without being found out.

Made for the room Pass one phone or tablet around so each player can privately reveal their own role.
Flexible setup Add at least three players, pick a category, choose the imposter count, and save names for later rounds.
Clean reveals Hold-to-reveal controls protect the word, the imposters, and the final result from quick accidental taps.

Set the Round

Add players, choose from the built-in word categories, set how many imposters are playing, and decide whether the category appears during role reveal.

Reveal Privately

Players pass the device one at a time. Each person holds the reveal control to see either the secret word or the imposter role.

Show the Result

After the group discusses and votes, hold to reveal the secret word and the player, or players, who were hiding in plain sight.

Built-In Categories

Rounds draw from focused word lists like Food, Objects, Places, Sports, and Animals, so the prompts are familiar enough to discuss and specific enough to expose bad bluffs.

Optional Category Hint

Turn on the category reveal when the group wants a lighter round. Leave it hidden when imposters need to work harder to decode the conversation.

Shared Device Play

Imposter Land is designed for couches, classrooms, tables, and quick gatherings. One device is enough, and new players can understand the round after a single reveal.

Round Flow

How a game works

  1. Add the players in your group.
  2. Choose a category, set the number of imposters, and start the game.
  3. Pass the device so each player holds to reveal their role.
  4. Take turns giving clues while imposters bluff carefully.
  5. Hold to reveal the result and see who was hiding.
Word Categories

Simple prompts, messy conversations

Categories make rounds easy to tailor to the group. Keep it casual, make it chaotic, or pick something everyone thinks they know until the questions start getting oddly specific.

Built for quick replays

Saved names, adjustable imposter counts, and fast category swaps keep the game moving between rounds without sending everyone back through a long setup.
